As we head into 2025 to celebrate our 30th anniversary across Aotearoa, we have been working hard to ensure that each event delivers everything we know you, our fans, have come to love and expect. We take the responsibility of every event very seriously, with considerable time and energy spent on each expo as we work to bring our unique celebration of geekdom to each region.

So, it is with considerable regret that we have decided not to proceed with the planned 2025 event in Tauranga. This is due to several factors, primarily rising costs impacting numerous areas, which in turn would affect the level of events we can bring to the region. This has not been an easy decision, and we hope that while many will be disappointed you do understand that we fought against making this call over the past years but just cannot continue as we had hoped.

We do not make this resolution lightly, as we know how much this event means to the Bay of Plenty region, however this will not impact any of our other events over 2025 in Christchurch, Wellington, Palmerston North and Auckland
