Hey All. We hope that everyone is doing okay out there and making the most of what life is throwing at us all.
We here at Armageddon are right here with you all and we hope to be back up and running as soon as we can.
Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for regular updates on Armageddon happenings and general geek world stuff that we think you will enjoy. Over the last few weeks we have been hosting a number of celebrity panels through the event Facebook, these can be viewed online still, and we hope to have more to come over the next weeks, so do check them out while we are all locked in.
But for now, on to the future plans, we have a few announcements, what we are thinking and doing is below.

Christchurch/Tauranga June Postponement

While we were hoping to make the original dates work, it seems very unlikely that we will be able to host public gatherings on the scale we would need by early June, so have decided to postpone these events.

Christchurch/Tauranga new dates

Christchurch – July 18/19th 2020
Tauranga – July 25/26th 2020
These dates were the latest that we could aim for in 2020 and we still have Wellington scheduled for August 1/2nd 2020.

Auckland October 23-26th 2020

We full believe that we will be able to hold our anniversary event by October and have some exciting plans for this event to share soon. Tickets will not go on sale until September 1st, with event details released in mid-August.
We are also hoping to officially kick off the event with the return of the Armageddon Fireworks display and Blazing Man (TBC) on the Friday night.

International Celebrity Guests

With the current global situation, it is our belief that even if things return to normal in NZ, that until the world (primality America really) has Covid-19 under control, we are not going to see international guests travelling to NZ.
Towards this our plan is that we will be hosting ‘Virtual’ guests at the Auckland event primarily, with our hope that we can have some truly magnificent guests beamed into the event main stages to interact with Kiwi fans. We would be looking to cover all forms of shows and movies, with Animation, Comics, Gaming, TV and Movie guests to appeal to all NZ fans.
The idea behind this is to bring more, not less to the event and work with restrictions that we will all have to deal with.

It is still a bit early to know what’s exactly happening, but we are working on this concept and how best to deliver this to fans so that the events still have the unique Armageddon experience everyone wants.
We will be surveying fans with the shows they want guests from and without the issue of travel time, are hopeful that we can get many current stars, animation greats and more to join us through virtual panels.

These are trying times for everyone, but we believe that we will be able to continue to bring Armageddon to Kiwi fans and hope that you will stick with us as we work to make our 25th Anniversary year something incredible.
