Armageddon Expo is New Zealand’s ultimate entertainment event, featuring gaming, fantasy and multimedia events for the whole family. We aim to offer a fun-filled convention experience with something for everyone in the family to enjoy, in a safe and comfortable environment.
Attending any Armageddon Expo event means that you agree to comply with all rules and policies regarding the safety of all attendees, including this code of conduct. All attendees of Armageddon Expo are expected to treat other attendees, guests, staff and the general public with respect.
Physical, verbal and sexual harassment and assault of any kind will not be tolerated, and we will take all offences extremely seriously. We have a zero tolerance anti-harassment policy for all those who attend our shows. Transgressors will be dealt with accordingly, including the potential to be removed from the convention. Examples of harassment include physical assault, battery, deliberate intimidation, stalking and unwelcome physical attention.
All Armageddon Expo staff go through training prior to every event.
Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for use on the Armageddon Expo website, and in promotional and/or marketing materials. By entering this expo, you consent to Armageddon Expo photographing and potentially using your image and likeness for promotional or marketing purposes.
At Armageddon Expo, many of our attendees enjoy cosplaying at our events. As standard attendees, we expect the same appropriate behaviour from cosplayers to those who are not cosplaying. Alternatively, cosplayers are not there for the general public’s enjoyment. Unwanted photographs and attention are not permitted under any circumstances.
If a cosplayer/attendee refuses a request for a photograph, that is the cosplayer/attendee’s right, and everyone must respect that. If people tell you “no” or to leave them alone, your business with them is done. Leave them alone. Do not follow them or attempt to disrupt their convention experience in any way. If you continue to attempt to have contact with those people, you may be removed from the premises.
For all future Armageddon events from 2020 onwards, clothing items and merchandise with sexually explicit or implied images/patterns, such as ahegao clothing, will be banned from being able to be worn under any circumstances. If you are wearing such an item as a general attendee, you will not be permitted into the venue until you have changed clothing, and if you are wearing such an item as an exhibitor, you will be required to change your clothing, or you will be removed from the venue until you are able to come back wearing something appropriate. Armageddon holds full rights to refuse entry to anyone at the event they deem to be wearing unsuitable clothing.
Please consider the health and wellbeing of others before attending this event.
Remember that if you are any of the following you are not permitted into the event:
With the advent of new technology and how it’s implemented at events, we are constantly adjusting and reviewing how this is best presented to the public and to ensure that our exhibitors follow rules placed down, both for attendee safety and retailer satisfaction with the event.
With the recent surge of artificial intelligence art programs, we have been reviewing and have made the decision to ban all A.I. art from the events. Currently this isn’t really an issue as we do not have this present at the events, but to avoid any future issues we will be enforcing this restriction with all exhibitors attending Armageddon expos in Aotearoa.
While A.I. art does have some cool aspects to it, it is also very dependent upon existing art created by artists across the globe to create new imagery from algorithms that give no credit to the creators it is taking the metadata from.
This policy will not effect attendee experiences at the event and provides security for the many incredible artists attending the events.
