Yoshinori Asao - Fukushima Gainax

Born in 1968 in Fukushima Prefecture.

Yoshinori assumed the position of associate professor at the Osaka University of Arts on 2014, and established Fukushima Gainax in the same year to assist in the restoration of his hometown, Fukushima, after the disastrous Tōhoku Earthquake.
He opened Japan's first anime/manga museum, "Fukushima Sakura Yugakusha Museum," on 2015 in Miharu-Machi, Fukushima Prefecture. Simultaneously, he began creating anime series with the goal to distribute globally; he presented various anime series including "Masamune Datenicle," "Jinriki Senkan!? Shiokaze Sawakaze”, "Omoi no Kakera," "Letter to the Future," "You Can Enjoy!".
"Piano no Mori" (The Piano Forest) is on the air from April, 2018 at NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation).

Yoshinori will be available for portfolio reviews at the BRM stand in Hall 1 on Sunday 21st October. Visitors will get an opportunity to speak up close and personal with this veteran of the industry – a rare and unique opportunity to ask burning questions and receive direct input on how to improve their skill sets.
