Stella is currently starring as the female lead ‘Julia Wicker’ on the Syfy series The Magicians, which just wrapped filming its fourth season earlier this month. Previously, Stella heavily recurred on the NBC series Chicago PD and Law & Order: SVU, playing 18-year-old prostitute-turned-Chicago PD employee ‘Nadia Decotis’ in both worlds. In 2013, while she was starring on the CBS series Golden Boy, Taylor Hackford cast Stella as the lead in his CW pilot Norfolk (fka Company Town), making Stella a star on two networks simultaneously.

Stella has since starred in a number of independent films, including Dark Summer opposite Keir Gilchrist, Independent Spirit Award-winner Starlet and the Daniel Dubiecki-produced All Together Now, which originally premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Stella also appeared alongside Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart as ‘Sandy West’ in The Runaways and can mostly recently be seen in Long Nights Short Mornings starring opposite Shiloh Fernandez and Ella Rae Peck. Stella can also be seen in Flipped with Michael Madsen and Netflix’s Take The 10 starring Kevin Corrigan, Josh Peck, Andy Samberg and Fred Armisen.
