Nurturing an impressive body of work encompassing film and television, Dichen Lachman’s career continues to evolve with diverse and challenging projects. Dichen will next be seen starring alongside Joel Kinnaman in the highly anticipated Netflix original series “Altered Carbon.” Netflix’s most expensive and ambitious original series yet, “Altered Carbon” is set the future where consciousness is digitized and stored in a spinal stack. Humans are able to survive physical death by having their memories and consciousness ‘re-sleeved’ into new bodies. Dichen plays villainous Reileen Kawahara and the show will begin streaming in Spring 2018.

Audiences know and love Dichen for her stand-out performance in Joss Whedon’s hit series “Dollhouse.” She portrayed Sierra, one of the lead ‘dolls’ with multiple personalities and special skills uploaded to her brain. She went on to star in popular primetime series including “Shameless,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,” “Supergirl,” “The 100” and guest star on “Hawaii 5-0,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “C.S.I.,” and the BBC series “Torchwood” to name just a few.

Dichen got her start on the wildly successful drama series “Neighbours,” a cultural phenomenon in the UK, Canada and Australia. Segueing effortlessly between television and film, her passion for the art of acting keeps Dichen drawn to indie films and web series. She made her feature film debut in the FOX 2000 film “Aquamarine” alongside Emma Roberts. She starred Felicia Day’s “The Guild” and Jane Espenson’s “Husbands.” Filmmaker Dennis Hawke wrote the part of Jill in his short film “Sunday Punch” specifically for Dichen. She later reprised the role of Jill in his follow up film “Too Late,” a highly ambitious feature recorded in five single takes on film, each approximately 20 minutes in length. Also, a filmmaker, Dichen produced and starred in “Lust For Love,” which landed in the top 10 on iTunes! A feature-length film, “Lust For Love” was financed via one of Kickstarters’s first successful movie campaigns and filmed entirely in Los Angeles.

Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, Dichen’s family relocated Adelaide Australia when she was a child. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter and rescue dog.
