ANIME NO UTA are 4 talented Japanese and kiwi musicians who want to celebrate Japanese anime through showcasing the tunes they grew up with. The music to Dragon Ball Z, Pocket Monster and Sailor Moon etc…are all just as well recognised as the anime themselves.

Takahide Sato (alto) and Masaru Nakagawa (tenor) have come to New Zealand to pursue their careers in instrument repair and to share their great talent of playing saxophone. Both have 9 years playing experience.

Tomomi Johnston (soprano) has bee playing saxophone since she was 10 years old. Since coming to New Zealand she has performed with various amateur and professional groups.

Making a guest appearance with ANIME NO UTA will be accomplished Baritone saxophone player, Christiaan Swanepoel. Christiaan splits his time between playing saxophone and writing computer software. He's also a member of New Orleans-style brass band the Auckland City Scoundrels.

ANIME NO UTA have put together a set of well known Japanese anime songs including: Moonlight Legend  'Sailor Moon’ 2, Aim to Be a Pokémon Master ( Mezase Pokémon Master) 'Pocket Monster’ 3, Super Mario Brothers Theme 4, Cutie Honey Song 5, CHA-LA HEAD CHA-LA 'Dragon Ball Z’ 6, A Cruel Angel’s Thesis ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion’ 7, We are! ‘One Piece’
